Robert DeLoach Visual Art

Bio

Rob DeLoach grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and was exposed to creative work from birth. His father was an architect and painter and his mother  an avid photographer who developed cooking and craftwork into an artform. There was always great support for Rob’s creative efforts, however, playing sports year-round was truly a mainstay of Rob’s childhood. It was not until after playing college football and pursuing the opportunity to play as a pro, did Rob realize his true passion was the act of creating art.

With minimal formal training, Rob dove into an intense period of focused experimentation using many different artistic styles and mediums. Considered a self-taught artist, his mixed media work has evolved into a style that is dominated by color, pattern, and line work. Rob’s art is heavily influenced by the natural world and nostalgia of his childhood. His work is typically created on wood panels, or on reclaimed cross cuts of trees whose wood grain patterns are included as a part of the completed work.

Rob’s art has been exhibited in numerous group and solo shows, and is included in private collections around the world. Among other art commission opportunities, he has created work for The University of Maryland and The Georgia Department of Trade and Tourism. Rob’s work has been featured on several major network television shows such as ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover, and by prominent international music stars including Ziggy Marley and George Clinton. Rob currently lives and works on O’ahu where he is blessed by a daily abundance of divine inspiration.
